Disclosure: Bachelor of Health Administration (BSHA) programs are offered at Texas institutions approved for veterans benefits.
Please contact! For more information about the educational benefits available to veterans at WCU, please contact the Financial Aid Department for a current list of approved programs. Veterans who are uncertain about their eligibility should contact the Veterans Administration. Eligible students must maintain satisfactory academic progress to continue to receive educational benefits.
Your service can be counted as part of your course! WCU uses American Council on Education (ACE) guidelines to help determine which military training can be applied to WCU course learning outcomes.

Financial Aid Faqs
California universities participate in the post-9/11 GI Bill® Yellow Ribbon Program. A limited number of qualified students will receive offers each academic year. Offers are offered on a first come, first served basis. Submit a yellow ribbon request through WCU’s secure student portal to request a refund of this amount.
Additional eligibility requirements: Only individuals who qualify for the highest level of benefits (based on service requirements) can receive Yellow Ribbon funding.
To apply for West Coast University Yellow Ribbon Program funds, complete and submit an application to the WCU Office of Financial Aid. Applications are available on our website or at the Financial Aid Office at any WCU campus.
Please note, a maximum of 40 qualified students at each school will be selected and approved for Yellow Ribbon funding on a first-come, first-served basis. You can find more detailed information about eligibility requirements through the VA by visiting the Veterans Affairs website.
Cost And Financial Aid
Yellow Ribbon Program payments are transferred directly from the student to the University when confirmation of enrollment into the University is processed.
WCU also offers graduated benefits to cover the difference between the cost of your undergraduate courses and what Tuition Assistance (TA) will pay.
To use additional benefits, you must be approved for federal tuition assistance and be eligible for the Montgomery GI Bill.
. To qualify for MGIB benefits, you must be an active duty MGIB participant and have served on active duty for at least two years.

If you have a regular Montgomery GI Bill, the benefit amount is limited to the amount you would receive for the same course

As a military student, you are entitled to certain benefits from your service, and WCU is ready to help you understand and access the benefits available to you. One of these benefits is receiving tuition assistance through the Department of Defense.
Depending on your branch of service, you may be eligible for the Military Tuition Assistance Program. This program is open to active duty, National Guard and Reserve members, with an annual limit of $4,500, including up to $250 per hour during the semester.

You may be surprised to learn who qualifies and qualifies for financial aid. More than two-thirds of our graduates receive some form of financial aid, including need-based grants, merit scholarships, study and federal loans.
USC enrolls more low-income students (according to Pell Grant eligibility rules) than most private research universities. In fall 2023, 22 percent of enrolled graduate students received Pell Grants.

Although international students are not eligible for federal or USC financial aid, they may be eligible for merit scholarships and/or other departmental awards.
Additionally, international students can apply for a personal loan with a qualified cosigner who is a U.S. citizen.

Your financial need is how much it will cost to attend college (cost of attendance or COA) and how much you and your family can contribute to your education (expected family contribution). family or EFC). It is determined by analyzing your family’s financial information.

All colleges use a need analysis method called the federal method to determine the amount of federal student aid you may be eligible to receive.

USC also uses its own institutional processes to determine the amount of college aid you may be eligible to receive.
Institutional Approach: Expected Family Contribution (EFC) includes Minimum Student Contribution (SC) and Estimated Parent Contribution (PC).
Students must apply for financial aid each year. Your estimated contribution will be adjusted to reflect any changes in your family’s financial strength.

The reality is that higher education can be more affordable than you imagine, even if you choose to attend a private university. Although tuition at a top university may be higher than at a public college or university, students at private universities often receive more support in the form of scholarships and grants – The amount does not have to be repaid after graduation.
