Honorees include Sicilian Brewer, a member of a military family and a recent high school graduate who plans to study business at the University of Florida; Brendan Marshall, a computer engineering fellow at Michigan Technological University; Jenaya Bustamante, a clinical psychology fellow at Anne Arundel Community College in Arnold, Maryland; and Sgt. The other recipient is Leonard Bruce, a recent high school graduate from a military family who plans to study physical therapy at Auburn University in Alabama; Ashley Patterson, a member of a military family, studying biology with a pre-med major at the University of Texas at San Antonio; Carl Witte, a member of a military family, is a recent high school graduate who plans to study dentistry at Alvernia University in Reading, Pennsylvania; Micayla Herlihy, a member of a military family, is a recent high school graduate who plans to study biology at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill; and McKenzie Cox, a graduate student in dental surgery at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center. Scholarships vary by degree and level and can award up to $1,000, which must first be used to reduce student debt in the final semester of the program.
