We recognize that civil engineers play an important role in shaping our world To support and encourage talented individuals pursuing careers in civil and land surveying, we are proud to present the California Association of Engineers (CEAC) Memorial Scholarship. The award aims to recognize academic excellence, community involvement and passion for infrastructure development

Applicants must be enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program as a junior or senior, or be a candidate for a master’s or doctoral degree program during the academic year in which the scholarship is awarded.

• Applicants must have a degree (or more) in business, chemistry, civil engineering, construction management, marketing or sales. Preference is given to students studying civil infrastructure, particularly asphalt materials and their applications

College Grants For Minorities: Free Government & Private Scholarships

• Applicants may be from any state in the United States Residents of Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia and West Virginia are eligible to vote.

• Applicants must demonstrate financial need Applicants must submit a financial need assessment for the upcoming academic year

Recipient must be a full-time student each semester unless otherwise requested and approved in writing. Scholarship will be forfeited except for serious illness or injury

Recipients are required to submit a transcript and status report at the end of each semester before additional funding is awarded.

Scholarship funds are awarded directly to students who have chosen a college or university Funds may be used for tuition, books, and course-related fees, including but not limited to educational expenses Scholarship funds are not intended for personal expenses such as housing, utilities (room and board), meals/meal plans, vehicle loans, medical expenses, etc.

The Kirk Scholars Program Review Panel makes final decisions on scholarship eligibility, guidelines and interpretation of rules.

If you are a junior/senior majoring in civil/structural, architecture or construction management, apply for a $3000 grant toward your degree. First-time scholarship recipients are eligible for an all-expenses-paid trip to the California headquarters in July 2024 as part of the Strong Ties Undergraduate Scholarship Program. The EM MSIPP STARS program provides opportunities for undergraduate students from minority-serving institutions in the fields of science, technology, mathematics, and mathematics (STEM) and supports EM research and activities in the following areas:

SWE (Society of Women Engineers) is hosting a virtual scholarship information session in the Santa Clara Valley, where our chapter will provide advice on how to best apply to scholarship program chairs. There will be 15-20 minutes of prepared content and the rest will be devoted to questions and answers

SWE SCV supports the mission of SWE by awarding scholarships to local women pursuing an accredited or computer science degree (ABET or CSAB) in the United States. Scholarships are available to Santa Clara Valley high school seniors and college students (see eligibility for more information).
