College Scholarships For High-achieving Students From Houston, Texas – [Houston, TX 07/29/2024] – Behavioral Health Providers Network () is pleased to announce the launch of our Marion T. Coleman Pathways Scholarship. Former Coleman Pathways Scholarship Executive Director Marion T. Coleman, Ph.D. Interested in building tomorrow’s behavioral health workforce. The goal of the program is to ensure that students seeking licensure in behavioral health graduate and practice in the greater Houston area. The scholarship program was started in 2011 by Dr. Coleman’s term and 56 undergraduate social work students at Houston Downtown University in the summer of 2021 were awarded $45,000 in scholarships. In 2021, scholarship eligibility will be extended to both undergraduate students.

Today, the scholarship recognizes behavioral health students who complete an internship or internship in the final years of their program. These internships are generally unpaid and scholarships are intended to provide financial support for students to complete their studies.
