Named in honor of former longtime Dallas Morning News editor and current UNT Dallas President Bob Mong, this new, one-time $5,000 scholarship will be awarded to one (1) student for the 2025-2026 university year. To be eligible, students must maintain full-time undergraduate status (taking 12 hours or more) with a cumulative GPA of 2.75 or higher in their academic courses. Additionally, applicants must graduate in May 2026 or later and demonstrate financial need. Additional consideration will be given to students who demonstrate strong writing skills in their application. Please see the application for details. To be eligible, applicants must be full-time students (12 hours or more), meet minimum admission standards and continuing academic performance standards in effect at the time of award, and demonstrate eligibility for need-based financial aid. UNT Dallas undergraduate and graduate students graduating in May 2026 or later are invited to apply for the Lyman and Eloise Owen Memorial Endowed Scholarship. Two (2) unique scholarships worth $2,500 each will be awarded. Please see the application for details.

UNT Dallas students who are graduates of Dallas P-TECH, with additional consideration given to graduates of Seagoville P-TECH, are invited to apply for the $1,000 Gagne Endowed Scholarship. One (1) scholarship will be awarded to an undergraduate student for the Spring 2026 semester. To be eligible, the applicant must be a full-time undergraduate student (12 hours or more), meet minimum standards for admission and continuous academic performance in effect at the time of award, and demonstrate eligibility for financial need-based aid. Dr. First Generation Scholarship Donald E. Thompson and Kathleen Wilson-Thompson were founded to provide need-based scholarships to UNT Dallas students. To be eligible, applicants must be enrolled in at least 12 semester hours, meet minimum admission standards and continuing academic performance standards in effect at the time of award, demonstrate eligibility for need-based financial aid and include an essay of no less than 500 words. The Nicholas and Anna Ricco Ethics Scholarship focuses on ethical dilemmas faced by students and requires the submission of an ethical narrative in the application. This scholarship is open to all full-time students in all degree programs at UNT Dallas. For students who do not require full-time enrollment in the final semester before graduation, exceptions to the full-time requirement are permitted. The Ryan Scholars Program, named in honor of Amanda Sutton Ryan, G. Brint Ryan and the Amanda and G.
