We have awarded 19 scholarships in 2023 alone. Since our scholarship program began in 2022, Gibson is giving away over $200,000 in education and guitar scholarships.

A successful music education institution that strives to create passionate sound makers through mindfulness, positive thinking and professional development, 1500 Sound Academy was created to nurture the next generation of music makers. The founders of 1500 Sound Academy include legendary musicians, 1500 or Nothin’ aka James Fauntleroy and Lawrence “Rance” Dopson, and renowned entrepreneur, executive and philanthropist Twitilla True. Both are GRAMMY Award-winning producers who have collaborated with many famous artists, including Kendrick Lamar, Drake, Nipsey Hussle and Justin Timberlake. The GRAMMY Latin Cultural Foundation is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization established in 2014 by the Latin Recording Academy. In partnership with Gibson-Gives, they are offering three important scholarships in their scholarship program. Latin GRAMMY winner Nicky Jam is sponsoring an outstanding scholarship for her undergraduate degree at Berklee College of Music beginning in the 2023 semester.
The foundation’s scholarships provide financial support of up to $200,000 to music students between the ages of 17 and 25.
