State of Maryland Charles W. Riley Fire Department Scholarship Program and Ambulance and Paramedic Scholarship Program
If you are a professional or volunteer firefighter, member of an ambulance or rescue team in Maryland, this is for you. This is one of two law scholarship programs open to all Maryland residents. It is intended for those who plan to pursue a degree at a two- or four-year college or university in Maryland or at a specialized private vocational college. Students in Prince George’s County and Montgomery County, Maryland who need money and are interested in pursuing a career in aviation or aerospace are eligible for this $5,000 scholarship. Established in partnership with the Asia Pacific Community Foundation, this scholarship offers a stipend of $20,000. Applicants must be high school seniors who plan to attend an accredited community college or four-year university as a freshman in the fall. Jack Kent Cooke Foundation Awards Prestigious Four-year College Scholarship To 61 Class Of 2021 Graduates
This $10,000 scholarship is for students who plan to pursue a two- or four-year degree in agriculture, but there are a variety of careers, including agriculture. Students must live in the Horizon Farm loan area, which includes Baltimore, Carroll, Caroline, Cecil, Dorchester, Frederick, Harford, Howard, Kent, Montgomery, Queen Anne, Somerset, Talbot, Washington, Wicomico and Worcester counties in Maryland. This scholarship is for high school seniors who plan to attend post-secondary education in the fall and reside in select states, including Maryland. This award can apply to an accredited two-year or four-year institution. GPA, citizenship and residency requirements apply, but students of any nationality are eligible. The Jimmy Rainey Foundation, named after the founder of the Great Southern Timber Conservancy, aims to give back to hardworking students through these scholarships, with the hope that one day the award winners will give back to others in need. Scholarships are awarded through an annual charity golf tournament. The value of each award depends on the student’s needs. This scholarship from the Technology Concept Group International (TCGi) Foundation supports women of color pursuing two- and four-year degrees in computing. A minimum of $10,000 in scholarships is awarded to high school students and an additional $10,000 to current students who plan to pursue a four-year degree. The Maryland Restaurant Association is offering this scholarship in memory of Carter, the former CEO of the state restaurant association. A $500 scholarship is available to students studying hospitality-related courses.
