Established to honor the love of Eleanor Joan Kellis. Eleanor Kellis received her nursing degree from Good Samaritan School of Nursing in Phoenix, Arizona. Eleanor loves adventure and helping others. She worked in a variety of nursing fields and volunteered at the American Red Cross and Children’s Hospital. She provided patient care at several hospitals and found her own position at Utilization Review. Joan’s father, brother, mother-in-law, and brother-in-law all received degrees.

Eligible nursing students as determined by the College of Nursing Scholarship Committee in collaboration with the Office of Scholarships and Financial Aid. There are no specific standards.

She dropped out of college and worked as a school nurse in Flagstaff Public Schools before retiring.
