Scholarships For Hispanic High School Students In San Francisco Bay – On Wednesday, Republic FC’s Spanish heritage month celebrations culminated when the club hosted its annual Noche Latina tournament at the Heart of Health Park. Along with dancers on stage, special announcers on the field and others, the club recognized other local students for their contributions to the Hispanic community which is part of the scientist’s displeasure.
In the middle of the club’s game against Phoenix Rising FC, Republic FC’s community investment team presented Woodland High School student Talia Cadena with a $1,000 scholarship, courtesy of the Sacramento Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. Cadena was selected by the Jamhuri FC Board of Directors and SHCC staff, including Executive Director Cathy Rodriguez Aguirre and Foundation President Veronica Delgado Rodriguez, based on education and service to friends, the community and people in need.

Cadena has served the youth of the Woodland community for over six years, assisting the Woodland Public Library Advisory Board and the Woodland Volunteer Food Pantry to support youth and others in need. Outside of the community, he was an undisputed leader in sports and in the classroom, captaining his school’s Cross Country and Track and Field teams and winning Academic All-League honors for three years while active in Cross Country and Track and Field. She plans to attend the University of California, Los Angeles this summer to study acting and fine arts.
The Scholarship List For Ethnic Minority Students
“I come from a small town with a lot of hard-working students, mostly Latino, so I hope this award shows them what you can do,” Cadena said. “No matter where you come from, even if you are part of a minority, you can do whatever you want.”
Cadena is one of eight local students to receive a scholarship from the club’s Indomitable Scholars series, which since 2019 has recognized performers of exceptional leadership and community involvement. He is the third student to receive the award this season. Christian Brothers High School student Marleah Barry received a scholarship in February courtesy of the Sacramento Black Club and Chamber of Commerce, and Sacramento City College student Samuel Lewis was honored in June in partnership with the Sacramento LGBT Community Center.
