In a transformative effort to address the growing need for skilled nurses in the healthcare industry, Illinois College has partnered with Memorial Health to offer comprehensive scholarships to beginning nursing students.
This initiative, which includes 50 scholarships each year, is a collaborative effort between Illinois College and Memorial Health to support nursing education. The scholarships will cover full tuition for nursing students from the 38 Illinois counties surrounding the Jacksonville campus for the first two years. In years three and four, students have the opportunity to continue their support by working part-time in any Memorial Health unit, allowing them to gain practical experience and further their studies. These nursing scholarships are in addition to the Illinois College Benefit program, which covers 100% of the financial needs of Illinois residents.
Illinois College’s nearly 200-year history of producing professional graduates extends to nursing. With a 100% NCLEX pass rate for the first time in the class of 2023, the College is making great strides to ensure that more students can achieve their dreams of becoming registered nurses.
