Adama Jawara ’23, a student in the Department of Nursing and Health Sciences at Holy Family University, was one of 21 women to receive a Paradigm Scholarship for Working Women from the Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce.

The Chamber awards a scholarship annually to a woman who earns a bachelor’s degree while working full-time at a Chamber member company. Javara currently works at KenCrest, an organization that provides educational services to children and families in Philadelphia and beyond, including individuals with developmental or intellectual disabilities and their families.

Jawara received the Amoore Scholarship, named for Renee Amoore R.N., founder and president of Amoore Group, Inc. She received the scholarship at the 2023 Paradigm Awards Luncheon held March 9 at the Bellevue Hotel in Philadelphia. Jawara also received the 2020 Paradigm Scholarship for Working Women.
“As a first-generation student in this country, I am committed to completing what I started,” Jabara said in his scholarship statement. I have a goal of applying for this scholarship to relieve stress this semester. I want to focus. . I focus on being a great nurse.

This scholarship is offered four times per year to (2) $5,000 scholarships (4) applicants to top nursing schools. Applicants must register with a CastleBranch affiliated AACN member institution. Students may also submit a nursing school application through NursingCAS. Applicants must maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.2 in their current program or last attended school. Goddie Nursing Scholarship
The American Nephrology Nurses Association (ANNA) strives to improve the lives of its members through education, networking, and science. It does this by developing and updating standards of practice, supporting research, improving practitioner training, and providing platforms for communication and collaboration. ANNA covers all issues in all areas of the field. There are 9,000 registered nurses in the United States, and our nurses work in private dialysis units, outpatient hospitals, and inpatient units. They practice all areas of nephrology, including hemodialysis, chronic kidney disease, peritoneal dialysis, emergency care and transplantation.
The Career Mobility Scholarship is for members pursuing a BSN or advanced degree in Nursing. There are four annual scholarships of $5,000 each. Applicants must have been an active member for at least two years at the time of application. Participate in renal care and become certified by the Renal Nursing Certification Board. Applicants must also be enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program. The application form is on the website.
ANNA supports the continuing education of nephrology nurses. As the demand for quality kidney care increases, nurses are in a key position to advance improved quality care for patients with kidney disease.
ANNA hopes to have a positive impact on kidney disease patients through ongoing education in this field. His research actually improves and improves standard techniques. Janelle Parker is the namesake of the Janelle Parker Scholarship. She uses her nephrology nursing training and leadership skills to improve and expand this specialty to provide the best patient care. Parker has served nurses by providing access to the best professional education, research and career development. Additionally, she was a founding member and president of the Nephrology Nursing Certification Board and president of ANNA from 1986 to 1987. She also brings expertise and passion for education by serving on the editorial board of the Journal of Nephrology Nursing. He served as editor of the first edition of a modern renal nursing textbook. Janelle is highly respected by her nursing colleagues and has been a friend and mentor to many nursing students.
