The New York Times College Program has placed hundreds of students in college. Since 1999, the program has provided four-year scholarships to local high school students who have overcome adversity while pursuing higher education.

Scholarships At Baker College
Preference will be given to students whose parents did not graduate from an accredited four-year American college or university. Applicants must be citizens or permanent residents of the United States.

In 2021, we selected twelve seniors to receive four-year scholarships of up to $15,000 per year to attend a four-year, full-time accredited college. Students will also receive a laptop. Students receive funding from public donations and endowment funds, which are supported by a grant from the Starr Foundation.
The scholarship can be used to cover tuition, living, tuition and educational expenses. Each scholarship is renewed annually for four academic years if the student maintains a good academic record and makes steady progress toward graduation.
